Lake Cumberland Air Show 2026

November 7 @ 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

On November 7, 2026,  Friends of Army Aviation (FOAA) will be flying riders during the Lake Cumberland Air Show at the Lake Cumberland Regional Airport in Somerset, KY. You must purchase a separate ticket to enter the Airshow to access the FOAA Area for helicopter rides.  You can find information about tickets for the Airshow here.

We will have plenty of seats available so come on out to, 500 W.O. Newell Drive, Somerset, KY and grab a spot! Air Shows sell out quickly so come early to secure your chance to get up close and personal with history!

No DO NOT TOUCH signs for us! Get a hands-on, seat of your pants, bucket list flight in the workhorse of the Vietnam War. Take an 8-10 min flight in an iconic UH-1H helicopter—a living history experience you won’t forget!

We specialize in happy smiles and lasting memories so bring your family, friends and neighbors and take to the skies in a doors open, wind inducing, rotor slapping Huey helicopter. We fly 10 passengers at a time ages 2 and up! All passengers must be securely seat-belted in their own seat (no lap sitters).  All minors under the age of 16 must ride with a parent or guardian. Children 16-17 may ride alone with a parent/guardian’s written permission.

Helicopter ride tickets may be purchased at the FOAA area at the air show. A limited number of tickets are available for advance purchase here. Seats and flight times are not assigned until you CHECK IN at the FOAA area.  We fly on a first come, first fly basis.

  • Online Advance purchase Tickets: A limited number of advance tickets are available.  Once these are sold out, tickets may still be purchased at the event.  Should FOAA cancel for any reason, (ie weather or maintenance) refunds will be automatically issued.  Advance ticket purchasers MUST arrive at the FOAA area to be processed no later than 1pm or your seat is subject to release and no refunds will be provided.
  • Onsite Tickets: Tickets may be purchased at the ride event using cash or credit/debit card, Apple, Google or Samsung Pay or Cash App. Please purchase your ticket no fewer than 2 hours prior to the published end of the event time. Ticket price will be $100/per person.
