DESCRIPTION:On September 12-13. 2026\,  Friends of Army Aviation (FOAA) will be flying riders during the North Alabama Air Show at Pryor Field in Tanner\, AL. \nThe Best Weekend In Alabama!\n\nThe North Alabama Airfest is an action-packed airshow event in the Huntsville “Rocket City” Metro hosted at Pryor Field Regional Airport (DCU). This two-day airshow event will have military demonstration\, high-speed fly-bys\, helicopter and airplane rides\, exotic car rides\, static displays\, vendors\, and so much more! The Airfest has something for the entire family! We are looking forward to a weekend full of excitement and the smell of Jet Fuel! \n\nYou must purchase a separate ticket to enter the Airshow to access the FOAA Area for helicopter rides.  You can find information about tickets for the Airshow here. \nCome out and experience Army Aviation history. Take an 8-10 min flight in an iconic UH-1H helicopter—an experience you won’t forget! \nWe specialize in happy smiles so bring your family\, friends and neighbors and take a ride in a Huey helicopter. We fly 10 passengers at a time ages 2 and up! All passengers must be securely seatbelted in their own seat (no lap sitters).  All minors under the age of 16 must ride with a parent or guardian. Children 16-17 may ride with parent/guardian’s written permission. \nHelicopter ride tickets may be purchased at the FOAA area at the ride event. \n\nOnsite Tickets: Tickets may be purchased at the ride event using cash or credit/debit card\, Apple\, Google or Samsung Pay or Cash App. Please purchase your ticket no fewer than 2 hours prior to the published end of the event time. Ticket price will be $95/per person.\nCheck flight times: Once you have been processed you will be given a color-coded wrist band along with a number (example Royal Blue 10). On our website\, using the tab labeled “times” and you can check your flight schedule for your show time\, briefing time and your flight takeoff time. With this information we ask that you be at our designated briefing tent not less than 30 minutes prior to your scheduled briefing time. Please check our website “times” tab to check on updated takeoff times.\n\nCome experience the “Sound of Freedom” as we fly with the doors Open!\nThe aircraft will remain onsite for rides based on demand.  The event is subject to end earlier than 4pm if there is no interest from the community or due to weather.
